The college of Materials Science and Engineering is seeking applications from well qualified candidates for several Postdoctoral Positions to work in the area of "Wood Science and Technology", “Chemical Processing and Engineering of Forest Products”,“Biomaterial Engineering”, and “Biomass Composite Materials”. The position requires excellent skills and knowledge in the related areas.

The college of Materials Science and Engineering at Northeast Forestry University is the main school for the world-class construction discipline Forestry Engineering. The college, which was founded in 1952, began with a major in wood industry and is now one of the leading departments in China in the field of wood and forest product processing.

The objective is to improve the platform enabling new material concepts based on the renewable biomass. Examples include multifunctional wood, biomass based carbon materials, and high-valued extracts. The college is searching for a postdoc with a contract period of two or three years.

According to the objectives of the program the person appointed will contribute to forest product development. More specifically, this includes wood and forest biomass functionalization and structural characterization.
